Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) in Delaware is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide in-person psychiatric services across approximately 8–12 Mental Health Group Homes statewide. This multi-site role requires regular travel between sites to support individuals with serious mental illness through evaluation, medication management, and collaboration with treatment teams.

Qualifications

• MD in Psychiatry, or equivalent with prescribing privileges in Delaware.
• At least three years of experience with individuals with serious mental illness.
• At least three years of outpatient experience with adults with serious mental illness.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centered services.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Travel throughout Delaware to provide in-person psychiatric services at 8–12 group homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person psychiatric services across approximately 8–12 Mental Health Group Homes throughout Delaware, with regular travel between sites.
• Provide medication management and psychiatric evaluations for individuals served.
• Offer emergency psychiatric services in person or by phone as needed.
• Order and review medications and laboratory tests.
• Document progress and responses to medications daily.
• Document sessions in the EHR and update treatment plans as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote continuity of care.
• Support licensing, compliance, and organizational values.
