Job summary

Rice Companies is seeking a Traveling Project Superintendent to manage on-site construction activities across multiple job sites from Fargo, ND. The role requires frequent travel in-state and out-of-state, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and Rice Companies personnel to maintain schedule, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressively responsible, broad-based, commercial construction leadership experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• SWPPP Certification.
• Equipment certifications (scissor lift, forklifts, boom lifts, skid steer).
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans/prints.
• Self-starter, highly motivated and goal-oriented with leadership skills.
• Possess ability to schedule and multi-task in a Microsoft Office environment.
• Working knowledge of both State/Federal Building Codes.
• Occasional lifting of over 50 pounds without assistance.
• Frequent overnight travel will be required.

Responsibilities

• Records and submits daily project reports for subcontractors, suppliers or Rice Companies assigned work.
• Maintains construction schedule including a four week look ahead; maintains budget and ensures quality workmanship.
• Orders incidentals and stores or stages materials.
• Schedules and documents inspections with Project Manager and subcontractors.
• Builds and maintains relationships with owners, customers, inspectors, subcontractors and Rice Companies employees.
• Promotes job site safety and documents rectifies hazards.
• Maintains a clean and organized job site and office.
• Verifies current drawings are used by Rice Companies labor and subcontractors.
