Job summary

The Walsh Group seeks a Traveling Project Superintendent for our Building Division in Columbus, OH. This role involves heavy travel and oversees field operations, schedules, and subcontract coordination to deliver projects on time and on budget.

You will manage budgets, monitor costs, mitigate risks, and enforce safety and quality standards across subs and vendors on assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of field supervision experience.
• High School diploma required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Some roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of field operations.
• Create and manage project schedule.
• Coordinate subcontracts, drawings, and specifications.
• Establishing budgets and controlling cost.
• Identify cost variances and mitigate them.
• Identify project risk and work to mitigate it.
• Communicate quality standards to subcontractors and vendors.
• Conduct quality control inspections.
• Follow safety program and OSHA standards.
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness.
• Prepare daily time cards for supervised personnel.
• Prepare daily logs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overall management of field operations

• Create and manage project schedule

• Coordination of subcontracts, drawings, and specifications

• Establishing budgets and controlling cost

• Identify the causes of cost variances and eliminate negative variances

• Identify project risk, and work to mitigate it

• Communicate quality standards to each subcontractor and vendor

• Conduct systematic quality control inspections

• Follows company safety program, laws, and OSHA operating standards

• Manages jobsite cleanliness

• Prepares daily time cards for personnel under supervision

• Prepares daily logs

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma

• 6+ years of experience

• Basic computer skills are preferred

• Specific roles may require relocation
