Job summary

ICI is seeking seasoned Traveling Construction Superintendents with Commercial and Industrial Construction Experience to lead complex projects nationwide. You will oversee on-site teams, coordinate with clients, architects and subcontractors, and ensure quality and safety on time-bound builds across retail, restaurant, and auto sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervision construction experience at GC/CM firm.
• Solid communication skills.
• Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Core member of an ICI Team.
• Communicating professionally with clients, architects, engineers, design partners, subcontractors, trades and internal teams.
• Managing day-to-day activities of complex project sites in the retail, restaurant and auto markets and ensuring top-quality results through effective management of resources and the construction process.
• Maintaining a safe work site by implementing good housekeeping regulations and safety requirements, enforcing safe work habits and observing OSHA and state regulations.
• Overseeing and inspecting work in progress against designs, plans, specifications, subcontracts/scopes, shop drawings and overall craftsmanship.
• Reducing project risk by documenting and managing jobsite details, reporting on daily progress, conducting weekly site meetings and inspections, developing six-week look-ahead schedules and managing the overall schedule.
• Maintaining client relationships by meeting and managing client expectations, addressing concerns or escalating issues as appropriate.

ICI is seeking seasoned, experienced, and driven Traveling Construction Superintendents with Commercial and Industrial Construction Experience. Specific experience with Walmart Supercenter and Distribution Center construction projects will be strongly considered a plus. Desired Skills and Experience

• Preferably at least 5 years of supervision construction experience at a GC/CM firm.

• Results‑driven ability to effectively manage and follow‑up on multiple priorities.
• Computer skills should include Windows PC, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Windows file management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proven supervision and management skills to motivate/manage people and teams.
• Procore experience / certification a plus.

Certifications, Licenses & Registration

• Walmart Safety, Employment, Waste, Stormwater Compliance Certification, or ability to obtain.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 30‑hour certification or ability to obtain.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires walking on rough/uneven terrain, frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying and often awkward sizes, shapes and weights, including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing on the job site.
• Sitting, standing and walking for extended periods. Climbing multiple flights of stairs and ladders repeatedly.
• Occasionally may lift to 50 lbs.
