Job summary

Divcon is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to oversee installation, commissioning, and handover of multiple construction projects. You will manage scope, schedules, and budgets, oversee subcontractors and technicians, and maintain client communications in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of building automation, HVAC controls, and electrical systems, with 95% travel including weekends and after-hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction project management.
• Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation.
• Technical expertise in electrical systems, commissioning, and risk management.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong organizational and project planning skills with attention to detail.
• OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two years or training provided with completion within first week.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians during commissioning.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address concerns and manage expectations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution.
• Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents.
• Review and approve engineering submittals and technical drawings before handoff.
• Track and manage change orders, purchase orders, and project expenses to maintain budget adherence.
• Maintain accurate project records, including milestones, billings, SoV, and documentation within DivPro.
• Assign commissioning work and oversee field personnel.
• Review and approve weekly timecards for Controls Technicians.
• Approve and manage the Bill of Materials (BoM) for each project.
• Provide monthly project updates, including billing and financial reporting, to senior management.
