Job summary

Basesix is looking for a Project Manager in Marietta, Georgia, to manage projects in the National Deployment team. The Project Manager working with the National Deployment team will manage projects ranging from thirty thousand to three million in total revenue, and is responsible for coordination and management of upgrades, moves, adds, or changes, new installations, consisting of structured cable, access control, and audio visual. These projects are located across the United States.

Skills and Responsibilities
  • Determine or validate the scope of work, including visiting client sites, assisting with the creation of layout drawings of equipment rooms and/or office setup, preparing work descriptions and specifications
  • Support Sales & Estimating teams in the design, scheduling, and material specifications for project proposals
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed and are effective
  • Plan, direct, assign and coordinate scheduling of teams of technicians for all projects
  • Plan, direct, assign and coordinate scheduling of teams of subcontractors for all projects
  • Coordinate the purchasing and delivery of project materials
  • Make on-site visits on a regular basis to ensure company and industry quality standards are met and the efficiency of work is maximized
  • Provide training as needed to field supervisors, team leads, technicians and assistant PMs
  • Interface with customers onsite or elsewhere to ensure customer awareness of project progress
  • Initiate Change Orders with customers as needed. Ensure work is tracked properly to complete Change Orders and obtain customer approval
  • Provide all relevant documentation for the entire project cycle. Provide progress information & reports at regular intervals to meet internal and external reporting deadlines
  • Responsible for project cost and time budgets, project profitability
  • Keep supervisors informed at all times of project progress and any problems or threats to project completion
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing low voltage installations
  • Working knowledge and experience with low voltage technology and industry, fire, and security
  • Ability and willingness to travel 2-3 days per week
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great organizational skills
  • Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of NEC codes and low voltage installation standards
