JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Project Manager Equipment setting/ Heavy Rigging

DEPARTMENT: D. H. Griffin Contracting

I. SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the projects.

II. JOB SCOPE

Experienced project manager that will oversee site operations at industrial facilities.

III. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities and essential duties include the following:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management of field supervision, and office/administration.
  • Understand current status of all projects at any point in time and oversee project schedule.
  • Ensure that all projects meet schedule, company quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the project.
  • Collaborate with all members of the team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate objectives of the project.
  • Motivate and lead a high-performance team; attract, recruit, and retain required members of the team; provide mentoring and management with a career development focus.
  • Promote a success-oriented, accountable environment within the project.
  • Foster a project working environment that places the highest value on safety, ensuring policy is documented, communicated, and implemented.

  • Minimum of 10 years of verifiable experience.
  • Education Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Takes a big picture perspective regarding the Company’s priorities and goals.
  • Previous front line business operations or leadership experience.
VI. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The employee must be able to wear, and be able to work while wearing, hardhat, safety glasses, steel toed boots, and other PPE that might be necessary to perform this job. Regular travel may be required .

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, talk, hear, and concentrate on and observe the activities employees are engaged in in order to help them safely perform their duties in an often busy, noisy, dirty, environment in which heavy equipment is operating. The employee regularly operates a company vehicle (i.e., pickup truck or SUV) on public roadways. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

VII. WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The primary work environment is an office and job site setting.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving equipment or mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high and/or precarious places; and fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials.
