Job summary

Prism Electric is seeking a Traveling Assistant Project Manager to support multi-site electrical construction projects across Texas and Oklahoma. You will assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement, and cost control while coordinating between general contractors, field teams, and clients.

The role requires strong project management, scheduling, and communication skills, with exposure to budgeting, invoicing, and electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Proven people management, process management, and performance management skills.
• Knowledge of financial software, accounting practices, change order pricing, and billings.
• Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong budget tracking, labor tracking, and scheduling skills.
• Proficiency in information analysis and budget setup.
• Excellent understanding of electrical code and proper means and methods.
• Ability to present concise, well-argued proposals for out-of-scope work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare submittals of drawings, material, equipment, and logs.
• Submit RFIs and logs with follow-up.
• Prepare change requests and support change order process.
• Assist with take-offs, costs, and budgeting discussions.
• Draft purchase orders and subcontracts; track vendor billing.
• Develop project schedule and monitor progress across multiple projects.
• Review project costs weekly and prepare close-out documents.
• Communicate project information to clients and internal teams.
