Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Traveling Piping Superintendent to oversee field supervision in Oil, Gas & Chemical projects. You will supervise multiple foremen and crew, manage costs, ensure conformance with drawings and specs, and coordinate with clients, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors.

This role supports travel across Houston-area projects. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in construction with 5+ in leadership, strong organizational and negotiation skills, and the ability to work with minimal

Qualifications

• 10+ years' construction experience with 5+ years in a Superintendent/Leadership role.
• Self-starter with motivation and minimal supervision ability.
• Ability to learn Kiewit policies, procedures and software.
• Strong organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop Jr. Superintendents.
• Review and approve Foremen, journeymen and labor rates.
• Manage subcontractor/field management meetings and communications.
• Develop programs to maintain good client relations on site.
• Attend client meetings for problem resolution and planning.
• Oversee monthly job cost updates and cash flow projections.
• Review, approve or negotiate change orders.
• Develop plan for project completion and turnover.
• Maintain daily site diary and write-ups for direct reports.
