Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Pipe Welder to support large-scale mechanical construction projects across North America. Expect extensive travel, high standards for welding, and collaboration with multiple trades on complex refrigeration systems.

The role involves welding and pipe fitting on critical components, with a 10‑day tour schedule and ~50–60 hours per week. A valid driver’s license, ability to travel, and safety‑driven approach are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a 6G weld test before employment.
• Extensive travel required (typical 10-day tour).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive long hours.
• Experience with high-pressure piping systems (steam, gas, process).
• Pre-employment and random drug testing; safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe from 3/4" to 18" diameter (commonly 2"–6").
• Welds on compressors, vessels, evaporators, condensers, and assemblies.
• Cut, bevel, fit pipe; perform open root welding without inserts.
• Complete up to 50 diameter inches of weld daily.
• Operate grinders, wire wheels, torches, and rigging tools.
• Support insulation, electrical, and painting tasks on site.
