CORE Occupational Medicine is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for our Baton Rouge, LA location. This full-time role involves performing phlebotomy, venipuncture, and specimen processing while ensuring patient safety and accuracy. Travel to client sites may be required to deliver onsite services.

Formación

• Current National Phlebotomy Certification (strongly preferred).
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (preferred).

We are looking for an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team at our Baton Rouge, LA site for a full-time position. Position Responsibilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to demonstrate: organizational skills, efficiency in all task and attention to detail
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information.
• Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone.
• Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results.
• Has consistently demonstrated service-oriented performance.
• Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC.

Duties

• Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures.
• Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures.
• Performs temperature checks
• Performs COVID nasal swab tests
• Process CDC questionnaires
• Obtains basic history, and medical information, and take vital signs
• Administers intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician in accordance with State of Louisiana law and prevailing CORE, LLC agreements and protocols.
• Performs collection of vital signs, Performs visual acuity and color testing.
• Performs urine specimen collection following DOT regulations and/or chain of custody requirements.
• Performs safe venipuncture
• Performs urine dipstick testing.
• Performs 12 lead EKGs.
• Performs audiometric screening,
• Performs other duties as required

Position Qualifications

• Current National Phlebotomy Certification (strongly preferred)
