Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• National Certification as Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Create and update patient health and insurance information.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain payment for prescription claims.
• Perform manipulative functions associated with the practice of pharmacy.

Skills

Experience with HPWO Pharmacy Department

CPR-BLS (basic life support)

Ability to type at least 35 wpm

Knowledge of medication brand and generic names

Ability to work with a culturally diverse group of people

Education

HS Diploma or GED
