Job summary

Plunkett's Pest Control is seeking a Traveling Service Technician who will travel between branches across Nebraska and Iowa, gaining rapid hands-on pest control experience and advancing in the company. You’ll cover overnight trips about 30% of the time, with hotel and travel costs paid by Plunkett's, and you’ll learn to identify pests, treat homes and commercial spaces, and work toward state licenses.

No prior pest control experience is required, just a high school diploma and a valid driver's

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Zero pest control experience needed; we'll teach you everything.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight trips ~30%.
• Love for variety and new places.
• Self-starter energy; able to run your day without supervision.
• Comfort using a tablet or phone app to get things done.

Responsibilities

• Jump into open routes across branches and keep customers happy with great service.
• Back up other technicians when things get busy or someone's out.
• Travel between branches, including overnight trips about 30% of the time (hotel and travel covered) and daily drives of roughly 100-200 miles.
• Learn to identify pests and treat homes and businesses the right way.
• Work toward your state pest control license and certifications.
• Log your work using a company tablet.
• Bring your A‑game to every customer interaction.
• Keep your company truck and gear in top shape.
