Job description

Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Traveling Orthodontics Dental Assistant at Great Expressions Dental Centers, located at 3752 Cascade Road, Suite 190, Atlanta, Georgia. We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to positively impact our patients' oral health in a fast-paced environment where every day offers new challenges and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care.
2. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment.
3. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
4. Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow.
5. Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist.
6. Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately.

Qualifications:

1. 2-3 years of previous dental assisting experience or relevant education.
2. 1-2 years of Orthodontics experience.
3. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
4. Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
5. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
6. Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet state-specific requirements, which include:

• Connecticut: Certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit).
• Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Duties Dental Assistant Certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification, and annual CE requirements.
• Michigan: Evidence of X-ray training certification upon hiring, with an 8-week grace period if not available at start.
• New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit).
• Texas: CPR Certification and TSBDE certification.
