Zusammenfassung

Valley Advanced Orthodontics is seeking an enthusiastic Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support our growing team across multiple offices in Central Pennsylvania. Travel between locations and a Monday–Friday schedule are required, with duties spanning assisting, supplies management, and patient education.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to outstanding patient care, with experience in orthodontics and a PA X-ray license or the ability to obtain one within 3 months.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of a Dental Assistant program or graduating within the next 3 months.
• 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience or strong interest in orthodontics.
• PA X-ray License or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• CPR Certification (in-house training provided).
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control protocols.
• Required clearances: Child Abuse, Criminal Background, and FBI Fingerprinting.

Aufgaben

• Perform clinical procedures as directed by the orthodontist, including changing wires.
• Assist doctor in explaining treatment plan and progress.
• Review instructions with patient/parent.
• Assist doctor in fitting/delivering orthodontic appliances and all other clinical office needs.
• Maintain supplies and carts.
• Update treatment card notes for each visit.
• Review patients health history and update changes after seating.
• Radiography patients as needed.
• Take records (scan and load photographs).
• Maintains clean treatment rooms in compliance with all CDC and OSHA regulations.
• Sets up and turns over room in efficient manner.
• Maintains and sterilizes dental equipment.
• Performs other duties as requested by Practice Administrator or dentists.
• Notifies Practice Administrator in timely manner and according to policy when out sick.
• Check Appliances delivered to the office before appointment.
