Main Street Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics of Winter Park is hiring a Traveling Orthodontic Assistant to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment , ensuring a seamless and professional experience for both staff and patients.

Pay-rate $19.00-$23.00. Candidates must be EFDA certified in FL; Bilingual (English & Spanish)

Status: Full-Time Traveling to Winter Park location Tuesday's & Thursday's (off on Wednesday's)

Position Overview

As a n Orthodontic Assistant you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care by assisting the doctor in orthodontic procedures, treatment planning, and patient education. You will help maintain a well-organized practice by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, assisting in procedures and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience as an orthodontics Assistant
  • Strong organizational and problem solving-skills
  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Must be able to travel to our sister office: Main Street Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics of Orange City Tuesday's & Thursday's (travel reimbursement included)
  • Must be EFDA certified in FL
