Hours: Mon-Thurs 8:45 AM - 5:00 PM; Fridays 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (1st Friday of the month)

Position Overview

Main Street Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics of South Broward is hiring a Traveling Orthodontic Assistant to assist our clinical team by providing high-quality patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for both staff and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist the doctor during orthodontic procedures.
  • Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Ensure infection control, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
  • Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies, maintaining CPR certification, emergency supplies, and contact information.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of prior orthodontic assisting experience
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • X-ray license in Florida
  • Willing to travel to our sister office in Plantation, FL (travel reimbursement included)
