Orthodontic Assistant

Pinova Dental and Braces - El Paso, TX (4 Locations)

  • Part-Time: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm
  • Travel between each location required - Mileage Paid (Offices located no more than 10-15 minutes away from each other)

We are actively seeking a Traveling Part-Time Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. Support our mission to provide excellent dental care and help us create more smiles and memorable experiences.   • Get out into your community — participate in local events including school screenings, presentations, and opportunities to promote a positive image of us
  • Participate in morning huddles (even ask to run one!), share appreciation for peers, highlight examples of customer focus and collaboration
  • Enjoy working with kids (they make up 70% or more of our patient base)
Responsibilities
  • Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient
  • Guide parents and patients through our processes before treatment
  • Educate patients in oral hygiene and postoperative instructions
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment
  • Take x-rays and save to patient charts
  • Take quality orthodontic facial photos and ensure operational readiness
  • Prepare tray setups for dental procedures
  • Mix amalgam, cement, pulp paste, and prepare impression materials
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
  • Clean chairs and rooms
  • Assist professional dental staff with treatment
  • Document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures
  • Pour, trim, and polish impression casts
  • Fabricate custom impression trays
  • Adhere to all government regulations, company standards, and compliance programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Texas Dental Assistant Certification
  • Preferred at least 1 year of Orthodontic Assisting experience
  • CPR/BLS Certification required
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory
  • High focus on customer service and satisfaction
  • Love working with children
  • Show compassion and provide high-level service
  • Maintain integrity and professionalism
  • Dependable and reliable attendance
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to organize work, multitask, and meet deadlines
