Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Nurse Specialist to lead clinical initiatives across our senior living communities. The role reports to the Regional Director of Nursing and partners with executives and interdisciplinary teams to promote quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

The regional specialist will frequently travel to communities to assess systems, mentor leaders, and support surveys. Includes auto and phone allowance and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing (multi‑state licensure preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in senior living, long‑term care, or related healthcare setting.
• Ability to travel within assigned region up to 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to community nursing leaders.
• Conduct routine on-site clinical assessments and audits for compliance.
• Assist communities with plans of correction following surveys or reviews.
• Support onboarding and ongoing education of Directors of Nursing/Wellness and clinical staff.
• Provide hands-on guidance related to medication management, resident assessments, and infection control.
• Monitor clinical metrics and partner with communities on action plans.
• Participate in pre-survey preparation and on-site regulatory support.
• Assist with clinical investigations and root-cause analyses.
