Job summary

Cedarhurst Living seeks a Nurse Specialist to provide clinical leadership, education, and operational support to senior living communities within an assigned region. You will mentor nursing leaders, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and drive quality care across assisted living and memory care settings.

The role requires frequent weekly travel to communities and includes an auto and phone allowance.

Qualifications

Must hold an RN or LPN license in good standing (multi-state licensure preferred).
3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in senior living, long-term care, or related healthcare.
Ability to travel within assigned region up to 100% of the time.
Knowledge of assisted living and memory care regulations and survey processes.
Experience with clinical education, auditing, and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to community nursing leaders, promoting high-quality resident care.
Conduct on-site clinical assessments and audits for regulatory compliance.
Assist with plans of correction following surveys or internal reviews.
Support onboarding and ongoing education of Directors of Nursing/Wellness and clinical staff.
Provide guidance on medication management, assessments, service plans, infection control, and risk reduction.
Monitor clinical metrics and partner with communities on action plans.
Support pre-survey preparation and on-site regulatory inspections.
