Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a MOHS Histotechnician for a PRN position. The role involves preparing tissue specimens, embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting slides for microscopic analysis under supervision.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, QC/QA, and adherence to OSHA and privacy policies. Travel between Land O' Lakes and Zephyrhills is required; strong customer service and computer skills are essential.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ASCP Certification as a histologic technician or eligible for certification.
• Two years Mohs clinic experience within the last five years or Associate's degree plus one year histopathology under supervision.

Mansioni

• Performs histology duties: embedding, sectioning, staining, and coverslipping.
• Maintains QC logs and verifies reagent expiration dates.
• Operates laboratory instruments and troubleshoots issues.
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment and ensures biosafety compliance.
• Assists with specimen prep, labeling, and proper disposal of biohazard waste.
• Maintains inventory and adheres to privacy and safety policies.
