Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ASCP histologic technician certification or eligibility.
• Two years Mohs clinic experience preferred.
• Associate's degree plus one year histopathology experience under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue specimens using chemicals, embed and section for microscopy.
• Operate microtome and staining equipment; perform quality controls.
• Maintain logs, reagent inventories and instrument maintenance.
• Assist in patient-related procedures and document in IEHR.
• Adhere to safety, privacy and OSHA policies; dispose of waste properly.
