Traveling Mobile Diesel Technician
Job Overview
- Responsible for repairing and maintaining all medium to heavy duty customer vehicles and equipment which includes routinely performing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance to ensure efficient vehicle operations. You will be assignedand operate a company owned service vehicle to visit customers and conduct service repairs onsite. Service repairs may include but are not limited to equipment such as forklifts, trailers and tractors. You will also be responsible for making road calls as needed. The duties for the Mobile Tech will be performed independently,with little to no supervision.Must be equipped with personal hand tools, (removed box tools are stored in Service bed of truck).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong knowledge and understanding of medium to heavy duty diesel truck engines, possess diagnostic /troubleshooting skills, an understanding of how internal combustion gas and diesel engines work, as well as able to identify main components.Must be a self starter,possess computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite & other internal systems), strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Class A/B License preferred for some positions
- Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certificate
- DOT Brake/Annual Inspection certification
- High school diploma or equivalency experience required
- Clean driving record
