Job summary

Idaho Forest Group is seeking a Millwright Fabricator to join our traveling Central Fab Shop (CFS) team serving our mills. The role focuses on welding, cutting, fabricating, installing, and repairing processing equipment to improve production quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include dismantling and re-assembling equipment for modifications, reading schematics, operating heavy equipment, and complying with safety regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position in Athol, ID.

Qualifications

• Extensive welding, cutting, and fabrication skills.
• Operating cranes and rigging experience.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery and processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Able to read schematics and blueprints.
• Willingness to work various shifts and overtime.
• HS Diploma or GED or willing to obtain one.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Able to pass drug test, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations and JSAs.
• Perform tasks including welding, cutting, fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing equipment to improve production quality and efficiency.
• Dismantle and re-assemble equipment for modifications or upgrades.
• Layout, cut, grind, form, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits.
• Troubleshooting or inspecting equipment to identify issues.
• Operate man lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts and other heavy equipment.
• Work at high elevations from lifts or baskets.
• Keep work areas clean.
• Other duties as needed.
