Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation seeks a seasoned MEP Superintendent to lead field operations on mission-critical data center projects across the United States. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls scopes, manage subcontractors, and drive commissioning readiness while maintaining safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years construction experience with a strong focus on MEP systems.
• 5+ years in a Superintendent or Lead role overseeing MEP scopes.
• Proven experience on data center or mission critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including power distribution, HVAC, and critical cooling systems.
• Experience leading commissioning efforts and working with third party commissioning agents.
• Ability to travel full time and work on site for the duration of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead day to day field execution of all MEP scopes including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls systems.
• Manage MEP subcontractors from mobilization through commissioning and turnover, ensuring alignment with schedule, quality standards, and contract requirements.
• Drive coordination between MEP trades, structural, and architectural teams to maintain workflow and avoid conflicts in the field.
• Oversee installation of critical systems including HVAC, CRAH/CRAC units, chilled water systems, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution infrastructure.
• Partner with project management and scheduling teams to develop and maintain detailed lookahead schedules for MEP activities.
• Lead QA QC efforts across all MEP scopes including inspections, testing, and documentation to meet mission critical standards.
• Coordinate and support commissioning activities, including pre functional checklists, system startups, and integration testing.
• Enforce strict safety standards on site, with a strong focus on high-risk MEP activities and energized systems.
• Manage material procurement tracking, equipment deliveries, and site logistics specific to MEP scopes.
• Interface with clients, third party inspectors, and commissioning agents throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project closeout including punchlist, system turnover documentation, and owner training
