Position Overview: Manage, evaluate, and assess information related to Mechanical and Electrical systems necessary to construct the project on time, safely, within budget, and according to contract quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the project team, subcontractors, and owner representatives to ensure efficient systems installation.
• Prepare and manage the contract item list to ensure schedule compliance.
• Participate in schedule updates and provide current information.
• Evaluate and process RFIs.
• Manage budgets, review, evaluate, and negotiate change orders.
• Supervise and mentor Assistant MEP Engineers.
• Co-lead the MEP Coordination Process with the VDC Engineer.
• Prepare scope of work documents with responsibilities for trades and scopes for temporary operations.
• Partner with the MEP Superintendent to resolve conflicts and ensure schedule compliance.
• Oversee the turnover process, including start-up, testing, and commissioning.
• Conduct project walkthroughs to ensure work quality and compliance.
• Identify and communicate installation requirements to field staff.
• Manage municipal and agency documentation for system operation.
• Create and implement the quality control plan.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least four years of relevant experience or equivalent. Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, business acumen, excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and leadership qualities are essential.

Physical Demands:

Requires physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, negotiate work areas, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be made for disabilities.

Work Environment:

On-site at construction locations with exposure to mechanical parts, heights, airborne particles, weather, and electrical hazards. Noise levels are moderate to very loud.
