ACI Mechanical, Inc. in Ames, IA is seeking a traveling Project Manager to oversee total management of assigned jobs and support from planning through completion.

This role requires leadership across preconstruction, scheduling, purchasing, and post-project review, with responsibility for contracts, subcontracts, shop drawings, and monthly pay applications. The position emphasizes bid leadership, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, safety compliance, and quality control on

Qualifications

• Degree in project management, construction or related fields or 8-10 years of experience.
• Ability to read, write, hear, and communicate with customers, vendors, employees, and others in English.
• Driving record meets company requirements; pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as bid captain for projects that you may manage.
• Lead the bid review process and ensure estimates are complete and correct.
• Lead the job planning process both in the office and field.
• Prepare contracts, subcontracts, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Prepare monthly pay applications and pursue collection of billings.
• Review and approve material and subcontract invoices.
• Act as Quality Control Manager on assigned jobs and enforce the Safety Plan.
• Delegate to Assistant Project Manager when required.
