Job summary

Banyan Living, LLC in Northeast Ohio seeks a dependable Traveling Maintenance Technician to support multiple apartment communities. The role requires regular travel, performing repairs, preventive maintenance, unit turns, and inspections while maintaining quality and appearance of this growing portfolio.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of maintenance experience, strong diagnostic skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more, plus the ability to work independently, manage paperwork

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of apartment maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Experience using mobile work order or property management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel between Banyan Living communities to provide maintenance support.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately, efficiently, and professionally.
• Diagnose and repair issues involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC equipment, appliances, carpentry, drywall and painting.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and common areas.
• Complete apartment turnovers with repairs, painting, cleaning prep, and punch-list items.
• Assist with renovations, capital improvement projects, and other special projects.
• Maintain documentation of work, materials, and follow-up items in the mobile system.
• Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, managers, and team members.
• Maintain tools, equipment, vehicle, and inventory in safe condition.
• Respond to on-call emergencies and support on-site teams as needed.
