Job summary

National Oilwell Varco, L.P. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to report to the Plant Manager. You will safely produce precision‑machined components, follow procedures, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams.

You'll set up and operate CNC equipment, interpret drawings, perform routine maintenance, and help meet production goals while maintaining strict HSE standards and NOV Tuboscope inspection protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification in machining preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture parts in accordance with specifications and tolerances set forth by company drawings and procedures.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, or other CNC machinery to produce precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine machining operations and material requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools, ensuring equipment is ready for use.
• Consistently meet established production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain full compliance with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program.
• Promptly report any issues, discrepancies, or safety concerns to the appropriate management level.
• Apply the Inspection Program as outlined in NOV Tuboscope VolumeVI – New Rotary Shouldered Connections (SOP‑002).
• Complete required job documentation, time tracking, and production records per company procedures.
• Participate in training, support continuous‑improvement initiatives, and assist coworkers as needed.

• Strong documentation and record‑keeping skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel as required and follow the established escalation chain of command.
