Job summary

NOV is seeking a skilled machinist to manufacture threaded connections per API 7-1/7-2 specifications and operate manual or CNC equipment. You will interpret drawings, perform routine maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe work environment with adherence to HSE policies.

Responsibilities include monitoring production, managing tooling, inspecting finished parts, and reporting to the Facility Manager. Prioritized safety and quality are essential, with veterans welcomed to apply.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
• 2+ years experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manufacture threaded connections in compliance with company and API 7-1/7-2 specifications.
• Operate manual and CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, and related equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on machine shop equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all HSE, Quality, and company policies and procedures.

Job Duties

• Operate shop equipment such as presses, bandsaws, conveyors, cranes, hoists, and lifts.
• Monitor production to meet daily and weekly output goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Manage tooling and equipment inventory within the machine shop.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status.
• Report directly to the Facility Manager or assigned company representative.
• Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Good visual acuity, including color perception.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and comply with all company safety policies.

Pay Range

• $22.00 - $25.00 per hour depending upon experience.
