Job summary

Centurion Health in Wrightsville, GA is seeking a full-time Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Eagles Travel Team at Johnson State Prison (Medical Intensive Infirmary). The LPN will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under RNs and clinicians, across multiple facilities within Georgia.

Shift is days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. Travel assignments are per contract needs; assignments stay at one location.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license to practice in Georgia.
• Minimum of one year of LPN experience in a clinic, hospital, or long-term care facility preferred.
• Corrections experience preferred.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice.
• Work under the direction of RNs and medical/psychiatric staff to respond to health needs of incarcerated patients.
• Travel between facilities within Georgia as assigned and per contract needs.

We are currently seeking a full-time Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Johnson State Prison (Medical Intensive Infirmary) located in Wrightsville, GA. Our travelers have opportunities throughout the country and are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees.

The Eagle (Travel team) LPN will work between various facilities/locations throughout the state of Georgia, per contract needs. Each assignment will be restricted to one location. The LPN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Georgia
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Corrections experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
