Job summary

DN Tanks is seeking a Laborer Foreman to oversee production, quality, and safety on tank construction projects across the United States. You will train apprentices and on-site personnel, coordinate crews, and ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications.

As a Foreman, you will monitor safety performance, implement THAs, manage material inventories, and participate in daily progress meetings with the Superintendent. You will travel as required and maintain DN Tanks certifications.

Qualifications

• Operate and maintain DN Tanks tools and equipment.
• Ability to travel to project sites throughout the United States.
• Climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffolds.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel‑toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest.

Responsibilities

• Understand how the Laborer interacts with a Carpenter’s role during the tank building process and direct the work as required.
• Establish crews, assign responsibilities and follow through on assigned work to meet the budgeted man-hours.
• Reads and interprets tank drawings and construction information package to ensure work is performed according to specifications.
• Inventories material upon delivery to ensure components comply with the contract drawings prior to signature.
• Daily closeout meeting with the Superintendent providing updates on day’s activities and needs for the following day.
• Follows quality control (QC) program, understands construction tolerances, and reports any quality defects immediately.
• Checks and confirms elevation grades and plumbness on critical tank components.
• Follows safety procedures and DN Tanks safety policies.
• Develops task hazard analysis (THA) and reviews with the crew.
• Stops employees and subcontractors from unsafe acts and hazardous conditions.
• Promotes clean, safe work practices and trains the team to meet safety standards.
• Maintains certifications in DN Tanks Safety & Equipment Programs.
• Signals crane operator when required.
• Performs all jobsite layout using survey equipment under direction of the Superintendent.
• Supports training by working with traveling tank builders and DN University resources.
• Provides training feedback to the Superintendent to advance knowledge and skills.
