As a Traveling Laborer Apprentice you will support construction crews by assisting with foundational tasks and learning key aspects of the tank construction process. This entry-level role emphasizes safety, mobility, and hands-on learning across various phases of construction. You will also be expected to travel regularly and actively participate in training and worksite operations to build skills in site preparation, equipment use, and general labor responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
    • Assists with physical tasks such as material handling, jobsite preparation, demolition, cleanup, and equipment setup.
    • Supports supervisors and craftworkers during all phases of tank construction.
    • Travels to project sites nationwide as required.
    • Gains certification in the safe operation of basic tools and jobsite equipment through on-the-job training.
    • Participates in the DN Tanks Safety Program and follows all safety policies and procedures.
    • Maintains a clean, well-organized, and hazard-free work environment.
    • Learns how to identify and organize tools and materials required for each task.
    • Engages with construction drawings and manuals to understand the scope of work.
    • Works toward personal DN University training goals with Field Operations Manager guidance.
    • Immediately reports or mitigates unsafe conditions or practices.
Qualifications:
    • Ability to travel extensively to job sites across the U.S.
    • Owns and maintains general hand tools.
    • Physically able to climb, lift, bend, and perform labor-intensive tasks at heights or on uneven terrain.
    • Capable of wearing all required PPE (e.g., steel-toed boots, hardhat, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).
