Job summary

Knight Electric, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Journeyman to support Commercial/Retail new construction and re-modernization projects across the United States. You will install, test, and service electrical systems, read blueprints, and mentor apprentices while traveling to various project sites.

Role requires an electrical journeyman license, 8,000+ hours, and ability to travel by car and plane. We offer PTO, housing per diem, medical benefits, and competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8,000+ verifiable hours in the electrical trade.
• Current State Electrical Journeyman license.
• Valid state drivers license and ability to travel.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Advanced knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Current OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Install and connect control systems, power distribution, switchgear and related components.
• Diagnose, repair and resolve circuit, system, and equipment issues using testing instruments and schematics.
• Ensure all work complies with codes and safety regulations.
• Perform layout for overhead and in-wall rough-in.
• Generate complete materials lists for assigned scopes of work.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems; verify circuit continuity and safety.
• Maintain safety practices and assist team members as needed.
• Inspect jobs on completion for quality and cleanliness.
