Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 (J1) who works under a Foreman or Superintendent and may oversee a small crew of Helpers or Apprentices. The role involves installing, altering and repairing electrical systems, conductors and equipment according to project specs.

Requirements include 5–7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial or industrial settings, own tools, and the ability to work weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to read project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime when required.
• Must be equipped with and able to use company-required tools.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using hand tools and benders.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuiting and read drawings.
• Layout work from drawings, including underground layouts.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site.
