Job summary

Gray, via its NexGen division, invites motivated students to join the Concrete Department internship for Summer 2027. Locations are to be determined, offering hands-on experience in industrial construction, safety, and project support.

You will assist with safety management, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and project coordination, gaining exposure to real-world construction projects in office and field environments while building technical skills and professional networks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completing a relevant bachelor's degree in construction or engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to organize tasks and communicate clearly.
• Comfortable working in a team and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support safety management activities on project sites and in offices.
• Assist with estimations, scheduling, procurement, and coordinating project tasks.
• Help track progress, organize project files, and support change order processes.
• Contribute to cost tracking and basic production reporting.
• Participate in gathering data for reports and timelines to support project decisions.

Qualifications

We are seeking highly motivated and energetic interns to join our Concrete, Steel, MEP, Safety and In-Plant Services divisions. Working closely with both Project Management and Field Operations teams, this internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in industrial construction, maintenance, and operations.

As an intern, you will support key project lifecycle activities including safety management, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and project coordination. This role provides exposure to real‑world construction projects in both office and field environments, helping you develop technical skills, industry insight, and make meaningful contributions to our projects.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• Contribute to project scheduling activities by helping update timelines and learning about sequencing processes.
• Help monitor project progress by gathering data and assisting in basic production tracking and reporting.
• Assist with cost tracking and administrative tasks, such as compiling reports and organizing project files.
• Support procurement activities by helping track materials and equipment orders, deliveries, and inventory records.
• Learn to assist with change order processes, including logging and organizing change requests.
