Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking experienced Industrial Millwrights to travel to projects across Iowa and the Midwest. You will install, repair, and modify pumps, fans, and rotating equipment per manufacturer specifications and client needs.

Candidates must have at least five years of related experience and be able to lead, mentor, and supervise others. Welding and rigging certifications are preferred, and union affiliation may be pursued if not already held.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED; welding/rigging certs preferred.
• Minimum five years of related experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, drawings and manuals; write routine correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and modify pumps and rotating equipment per specs.
• Set and level pump base plates before grouting.
• Align pump shafts to tolerances per specs.
• Read drawings, codes and specs and ensure safety and quality.
• Oversee quality sign-offs and customer approvals.
