Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a field service technician to observe equipment in operation, identify faults, and perform repairs to spec. You will troubleshoot across electrical, mechanical and fluid power domains, using industrial control systems to analyze issues and resolve them.

Youll travel widely, step into new facilities, and bring machines back to lifefrom first observation to final verification.Your impactOwn end-to-end service: observe devices in operation, isolate faults, dismantle and access defective parts, adjust controls/instruments, and repair or replace to spec.Troubleshoot across electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems; leverage industrial control systems to analyze complex equipment and resolve issues.Partner with customer teams to execute reliability and preventive maintenance procedures that meet industry standardsoften with minimal direction.Identify and stage parts, supplies, and materials needed to complete work efficiently.When necessary, set up and run machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder) and perform welding to fabricate or repair components.Capture clear, complete service reports and update applicable management systems after every job.Model professional conduct on customer sites: follow contractor codes, maintain housekeeping, and champion safety.Continuously build your expertise through on-the-job learning and technical self-study.What it takesHigh School diploma or GED.Associate degree with technical focus plus 5+ years industry experience; or 7+ years of industry experience.Comfort with basic and specialized hand tools.Ability to analyze issues, develop alternatives, and execute repairs across electro-mechanical and fluid power domains.Extensive travel required (Local, National, International).Nice to have: preventive maintenance methods, precision measuring and alignments, and hands-on familiarity with PLCs, field devices, and drives/motor systems.Core competencies youll use dailyCommunicationsCustomer FocusPersonal DisciplineSafetyWork conditions youre ready forRegular standing, walking, reaching, climbing/balancing (including ladders/lifts), and working in confined spaces (stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling); frequent talking and hearing; occasional sitting.Occasional lifting/moving of more than 50 lbs; regular need for close and color vision.Exposure at times to outdoor weather and electrical shock risk; typically a very loud factory environment with possible hazardous materials and greasy or slippery surfaces.Technical strengthsMechanical Troubleshooting Skills120/208/240/480 Voltage SystemsElectrical TroubleshootingMaintenance and Repair SkillsIndustrial Electrical ExperienceEquipment youll encounterVariable Frequency Drives (VFD)Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)Servo MotorsCompensation and benefitsATS believes in fair and equitable pay.
