Job summary

Sweetwater Care seeks an Interim or Traveling Imaging Director to lead imaging services across facilities, overseeing operations, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate departments, mentor staff, manage chargemaster accuracy, and collaborate with physicians and administrators to deliver high‑quality imaging and cost‑effective care.

This role requires ARRT/ARDMS/CNMT certifications, a degree in healthcare administration, and proven leadership in imaging settings.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of Imaging Services.
• Imaging professional certification required (ARRT/ARDMS/CNMT).
• Degree in healthcare administration or related field.
• Leadership experience in imaging or hospital/ambulatory imaging systems.
• Strong leadership and facilitation skills.
• Ability to adapt style to teams and situations.
• Experience leading organizational change and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate imaging department activities and personnel across modalities.
• Liaise between physicians, patients, staff, radiologists and healthcare staff.
• Develop strategic plans for quality care and cost-effective services.
• Improve processes to enhance patient care results.
• Maintain chargemaster knowledge and ensure accurate charges.
• Utilize HIS, RIS, PACS systems effectively.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Lead through coaching and engagement of staff.
• Represent Imaging Department at leadership meetings.
• Apply professional ethics in practice.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
