Heavy Diesel Mechanic - (Traveling)

What we are looking for:

Aldridge is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment for our fleet department nationwide.

What you’ll do:

• Repair and maintain heavy equipment including heavy and light duty trucks, large foundation drilling rigs, loaders, bobcats, and other support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, as well as heavy and light duty trucks.
• Perform Federal Highway Administration inspections.
• Ensure that heavy equipment is in working order.
• Respond to and communicate with internal customer requests for service.

Who you are:

• CDL license Class “A” with manual endorsement desired.
• Willing to consider Class "B" with manual endorsement.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Natural engineering and problem-solving skills.
• Welding and fabricating skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Dependable and reliable attendance.
• Able to commit to a 2-week travel rotation (home every other weekend).

What we offer:

The hourly pay for this role is between $50.00 - $55.00 per hour. This role currently requires 10-12 hours per day, with overtime pay after 8 hours. The actual pay depends on many factors, including work experience, education, training, and transferable skills. This is a union position and provides IBEW union benefits.
