Job summary

ESCO Construction Company is seeking an experienced Traveling Heavy Equipment Shop/Field Mechanic Technician to service and repair construction equipment across Colorado. The ideal candidate will travel, stay organized, and be detail-oriented while contributing to a strong safety and maintenance culture.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, perform welding and fabrication on components, and maintain thorough service records.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy equipment diagnostics and repairs.
• Must have own tools.
• Moderate computer skills in Cat ET, John Deere Service Advisor, Outlook.
• Must have a clean motor vehicle record and a valid driver’s license; CDL Class B not required, but may be necessary for heavy duty trucks.

Responsibilities

• Service and perform repairs on construction equipment and support equipment.
• Maintain service, repair, and maintenance records.
• Follow verbal/written instructions and communicate with supervisor and coworkers.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Complete daily work assignments timely.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on various heavy equipment.
• Perform welding and fabrication on attachments and components.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Service and perform repairs on all Construction equipment, and other support equipment
• Maintain service, repair, and maintenance records
• Perform tasks from verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisor and fellow employees
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Complete daily work assignments in a timely fashion
• -To perform diagnostics and repairs on the electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on various types of heavy equipment.
• -To perform repairs including welding and fabrication on machine attachments and components
• -To accurately document and communicate all repairs with the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Experience in heavy equipment diagnostics and repairs. Including the following systems: Electrical, Hydraulic, and Mechanical preferred. Some form of education or extensive background with equipment repairs required.
• -Must have own tools.
• -Moderate computer skills in Cat ET, John Deere Service Advisor, Outlook, and Internet.
• -Must have a clean motor vehicle record and a driver’s license for medium duty mechanics trucks. Having a CDL Class B is not required, but a Class B CDL is necessary to drive heavy duty mechanics trucks of location.
