Job summary

The Central Arizona Project seeks an experienced Crane Operator to support operation and maintenance across CAP facilities and right-of-ways. You will safely operate lattice cranes, hydraulic units, crawlers and overhead cranes, following lift plans and safety standards.

Travel is a key part of the role—up to 70% of the time, with overnight stays as needed. You’ll receive a strong benefits package including pension, 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Federally registered operating engineer and Crane Apprenticeship preferred.
  • 3+ years experience with hoisting equipment and crane operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CAP hoisting equipment safely for structures, facilities and rights-of-ways.
  • Perform maintenance and inspections on hoisting equipment; assist with ancillary heavy equipment transport.
  • Use CMMS and other software to document maintenance, lift plans, and equipment condition.
