Sequoia Services is seeking a Traveling Heavy Civil Superintendent for the Dam Division to lead field operations on major dam, environmental, and earthwork projects across the U.S. The role requires coordinating crews, subcontractors, and vendors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of heavy civil experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising multiple foremen, crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for field team alignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction safety protocols.
• Ensure environmental and quality compliance on all projects.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to provide data for cost tracking and efficiency analysis.
• Review and interpret contract documents, including specifications, drawings, and designs.
• Work with estimating teams to build estimates prior and during construction.
• Schedule and manage construction activities, including crews, equipment, and subcontractors to maximize efficiency.
• Review timesheets and phase codes.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets, taking actions to stay on track with milestones.
• Maintain discipline in field operations while managing schedules and budgets.
