Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Construction Management Specialist for a traveling field assignment across multiple sites in the United States. The role requires supervising contractor teams, ensuring safety, and maintaining project schedules and budgets.

Assignments typically last 3–9 months with per diem eligibility for qualified travelers. Ideal candidates have 7–12 years in industrial CM related to transmission or substations, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years in construction management, TD transmission, substation, or industrial CM.
• Experience building and leading large project teams.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and cost control capabilities.
• Proven client-relations and communication skills.
• Ability to manage field staff and safety compliance.
• Knowledge of quality, safety, and health guidelines on large sites.
• Proficiency with project controls tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop project-specific management plans and lookaheads.
• Lead site construction management and commissioning staff.
• Monitor progress, cost, quality, scope, and safety.
• Manage field staffing and coordinate to meet project needs.
• Ensure documentation is current for internal/external teams.
• Coordinate with engineering, subcontractors, and client personnel.
• Maintain budget adherence and project profitability.
• Address on-site issues and emergencies promptly.
