Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Construction Management Specialist for field assignments across multiple sites. You will supervise contractor teams, develop work plans, monitor progress, cost, quality and safety, and ensure project profitability.

The role requires 7–12 years of industrial construction management experience and strong leadership. The position supports projects nationwide with potential per diem and varied travel.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of relevant construction management experience in T&D transmission, substation, or industrial construction.
• Experience in staffing and personnel selection.
• Knowledge of project controls tools for large construction projects.
• Understanding of process approach to construction mgmt and start-up testing.
• Proven client relationship-building experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and manage field teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction/commissioning work plans for projects.
• Lead site construction management and commissioning staff.
• Monitor progress, cost, quality, scope, safety; report to Project Manager.
• Manage risks and keep project on budget and profitable.
• Coordinate staffing and address on-site issues or emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Keep documentation up to date for all stakeholders.
