Job summary

Summit Line Construction, Inc. is seeking a Traveling GPS & Lube Technician to install and maintain GPS tracking systems and perform routine lubrication on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment. This role ensures fleet visibility and supports field operations across the western region.

The position requires extensive travel, strong problem-solving and communication skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a drug screen and background check. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with GPS, vehicle electronics, or telematics preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install GPS devices on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Test post-installation GPS functionality and diagnose issues.
• Perform firmware updates and calibrations.
• Provide training to field personnel on GPS usage.
• Perform routine lubrication and preventive maintenance.
• Travel to multiple locations to support field operations.
• Maintain service records and logs.
