Role Summary

The General Superintendent will develop and execute the project plan and oversee all aspects of assigned projects with significant complexity. This position is responsible for managing the team, planning construction sequencing, and meeting project goals, all in support of JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

Superintendent Family - Core

• Lead safety culture, demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment, and investigate safety incidents.
• Manage subcontractors, staff, and project workflow.
• Oversee safety, quality, and EEOC programs for projects.
• Develop work plans, coordinate project site care, and lead meetings.
• Manage project schedule, budget, and costs, and communicate key information.
• Ensure proper documentation, quality standards, and project closeouts.
• Participate in project pursuit, staffing, and negotiation processes.
• Recruit top talent and promote diversity and inclusion.

Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core

General Superintendent

• Manage large, complex projects from start to finish.
• Provide oversight to multiple projects and teams.
• Lead strategic initiatives and develop training content.
• Deliver leadership messages effectively.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Perform work accurately, communicate effectively, and conduct presentations.
• Proficiency in MS Office, project management, scheduling software, and construction technology.
• Knowledge of trades, self-perform work, budgets, and layout skills.
• Ability to build relationships and manage budgets and productivity.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; relevant experience considered.

Experience

• 12+ years construction experience, including 10+ years in field supervision.
• Experience managing large projects (>75M+), leading Lean principles (preferred).

Working Environment

• Valid driver's license required.
