Job description

Role Summary

The General Superintendent will develop and execute the project plan and oversee all aspects of assigned projects with significant complexity. This position will be responsible for managing the team, planning all construction sequencing, and meeting project goals, supporting JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

This role requires travel and full-time on-site presence for projects across the United States, in locations to be determined.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Lead safety culture and promote an injury-free environment.
  • Manage subcontractors, staff, and project workflow.
  • Oversee safety, quality, and EEO programs.
  • Develop work plans and coordinate project site activities.
  • Lead meetings and participate in project meetings.
  • Manage project schedule, budget, and documentation.
  • Ensure quality standards and support project closeouts.
  • Participate in project pursuit, negotiations, and team staffing.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion.
Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core
  • Manage large, complex projects from start to finish.
  • Provide oversight to multiple projects and teams.
  • Lead strategic initiatives and develop training content.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management, scheduling software, and construction technology.
  • Knowledge of trades, self-perform work, labor productivity, budgeting, and layout skills.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
Experience
  • 12+ years construction experience, 10+ years field supervision.
  • Experience with Lean principles and high-tech projects preferred.
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
