Xanitos is hiring Full Time Traveling Floor Technicians for Kaiser Permanente locations in the Atlanta, GA area and surrounding locations. The Ambulatory EVS Utility Technician performs floor maintenance, restoration, and operates floor care equipment, with duties across multiple sites in the region.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, and shifts are 2nd shift (5:00PM-1:30AM), Monday through Friday, with hourly pay rate of $16.50.

Qualifications

• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or granted exemption.
• Experience in janitorial industry is a plus.
• Medical cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, buff, polish, scrub, strips and refinish hard surfaces using heavy equipment.
• Vacuum, bonnet clean, spot clean and extract carpet.
• Perform maintenance and restoration for all floor types; manage waste including infectious and pharmaceutical waste.
• Transport supplies and equipment; maintain storage areas; ensure safety policies are followed.

Job Overview:

The Ambulatory EVS Utility Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment in assigned location(s), as well as the delivery of equipment and cleaning chemicals. The Ambulatory EVS Utility Technician may also be called upon to assist keeping the premises of multiple locations in clean and orderly condition as described below.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Sweeps, mops, buffs, polishes, scrubs, strips and refinishes hard-surface floors using heavy equipment
• Vacuum, dry/wet bonnet, spot clean and extract carpet
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Properly process solid waste as well as infectious and pharmaceutical waste
• Remove trash, recyclables, soiled linen, used supplies, and equipment from assigned work area
• Disinfect receptacles and carts as needed
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Maintains storage closet.
• Responds to environmental emergencies and requests for assistance.

In addition to the core floor care duties described above, the Ambulatory EVS Utility Tech may be called upon to assist as needed with housekeeping functions including but not limited to the following:

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Transport supplies and equipment to various locations within the region
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
• Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall.
• Ability to drive company vehicle in a safe manner

Job Qualifications:

• Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment unless they request and are granted a medical or religious exemption.
• Experience in the janitorial industry a plus
• Medical cleaning a plus
• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening, to include Department of Motor Vehicle check and Drug Test required
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.

Prior knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques preferred.

Knowledge of cleaning agents, equipment and methods of soil removal preferred.

Valid Driver’s License Required
