Job summary

Sevan Multi Site Solutions is seeking a Traveling Finish Technician to perform finish stage construction on tenant improvements and retail refresh projects across the United States. The role is travel-intensive, supporting foremen and superintendents and ensuring finish quality and turnover readiness.

Responsibilities include painting, drywall finishing, tile installation, trim work, punch list tasks, and closeout activities while traveling to project locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in commercial painting, drywall finishing, tile installation, or related trades.
• Ability to read project drawings, finish schedules, and manufacturer specs.
• OSHA 10 certification required, OSHA 30 preferred or ability to obtain; willing to travel extensively nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Perform painting, coating and finishing on walls, ceilings, doors, frames, and millwork.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and finishing; patch, sanding, masking and protect adjacent areas.
• Complete drywall finishing with mudding, taping, sanding, and texture matching.
• Install and finish floor and wall tile systems; layout, cutting, grouting and finishing.
• Finish carpentry and trim work; complete punch list items and closeout tasks.
• Coordinate with foremen and trade partners; travel to project locations as required.
• Maintain tools, safety practices and a clean, organized work area.

Summary

The Traveling Finish Technician is a skilled craft professional responsible for performing finish stage construction activities on tenant improvement renovation retail refresh and light industrial projects throughout the United States This is a travel intensive role requiring deployment to project locations nationwide in support of Sevans self perform operations Working under the direction of a Foreman andor Superintendent this role performs painting drywall finishing tile installation finish trim work punch list activities and other closeout related tasks that ensure projects are completed to Sevans quality standards The Finish Technician plays a critical role in final project appearance quality assurance and turnover readiness Travel Requirements Candidates must reside in the Dallas Fort Worth MetroplexExtensive nationwide travel is requiredEmployees should expect to travel to project locations for extended periods based on business needsCompany paid lodging travel accommodations and applicable per diem are provided in accordance with company policy

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform painting coating and finishing applications on walls ceilings doors frames cabinetry millwork and other building surfaces
• Prepare surfaces for painting and finishing including cleaning patching sanding masking and protecting adjacent areas
• Perform drywall finishing activities including taping mudding sanding texture matching and Level 45 finish work
• Perform layout installation grouting sealing and finishing of floor and wall tile systems
• Perform detailed finish carpentry trim work and finish touch ups as required
• Complete punch list items and corrective work efficiently and accurately
• Identify and resolve finish quality deficiencies prior to project turnover
• Support final inspections and project closeout activities
• Clean maintain and properly store tools equipment and materials
• Safely use ladders scaffolding and other access equipment as required
• Coordinate work activities with Foremen Superintendents other craft professionals and trade partners
• Perform work with minimal supervision and maintain finish quality standards throughout the final phases of construction
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
• Follow company safety procedures PPE requirements and all applicable regulations
• Travel to project locations as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferredTwo 2 or more years of experience in commercial painting drywall finishing tile installation interior finishes or related construction trades preferredExperience with painting coatings drywall finishing surface preparation touch up work and punch listcloseout activitiesExperience installing floor and wall tile including layout cutting setting grouting and finishingKnowledge of paints coatings sealants adhesives and related materialsAbility to read and interpret project drawings finish schedules manufacturer specifications and related construction documentsCompetent use of painting drywall finishing tile and hand tools and equipment including sprayers rollers brushes and sanding equipmentExperience working on commercial retail hospitality industrial tenant improvement or renovation projects preferredOSHA 10 certification required or ability to obtain; OSHA 30 preferredAbility and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States

Pay range 28 38 per hourActual pay depends on education experience and performance

This is a travel intensive field based role supporting projects nationwide Extensive travel to work on site at active construction locations for extended periods based on project needs Must have ability to stoop stand climb frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs Regularly required to crouch and reach to installmove equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine Involves movement between floors and properties to facilitate work Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
